Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting

If you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) encourages you to make a report to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).  In order to make a report to DFCS, you may:

  • Report by phone

Call Centralized Intake at 1-855-422-4453. A report can be made 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

  • Report by email

E-mail the completed Mandated Report attached to [email protected]. You will receive an auto-reply stating that the CPS report has been received.

  • Report by FAX

Fax the completed Mandated Report to 229-317-9663. Faxed reports convert to a PDF (Adobe) format and are automatically forwarded to the [email protected] e-mail box.

  • Report Online

If you are a mandated reporter, you may also submit a child abuse referral online by visiting https://cps.dhs.ga.gov/Main/Default.aspx.
