Georgia's Office of the Child Advocate investigates complaints regarding children who are or have been involved with our child protective and child welfare agencies.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OCA DOES NOT INVESTIGATE CASES WHERE STATE AGENCIES ARE NOT ALREADY INVOLVED, AND OCA DOES NOT HAVE ANY AUTHORITY TO ASSIST WITH ISSUES REGARDING SUPERIOR COURT GUARDIANS AD LITEM.  ALL COMPLAINTS REGARDING SUPERIOR COURT GUARDIANS AD LITEM MUST BE MADE EITHER TO THE STATE BAR OF GEORGIA OR TO THE JUDGE PRESIDING OVER THE SUPERIOR COURT CASE.

If the Division of Family and Children Services is not yet involved and you need to make a referral of child abuse or neglect, please call 1-855-422-4453.

To begin a review, fill out this online complaint form as completely as possible and make sure you click "Submit." You may also call us at (404) 656-4200.

We do not accept anonymous submissions.  If we cannot contact you to verify your complaint and to obtain complete information, your complaint will be dismissed without further action.
