Mandated Reporting

Certain professionals, such as physicians and school teachers, are legally required to report suspected child abuse.

Lean how to identify child abuse and understand your role in reporting with our free online training for mandatory reporters.

Report Child Abuse or Neglect

If you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) encourages you to make a report to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

Child Abuse Protocol

Georgia law requires each county to have a Protocol to be used in investigating and prosecuting cases arising from alleged child abuse and sexual exploitation. Our office provides training and assistance in developing those protocols.
